The song was Dax's 'ode'  to Danielle Bregoli, a viral internet star who got her start on Dr. Phil by calling the entire audience “hoes” and asking the crowd if they want to “Cash Me Outside, How Bout That!” He released the official video to the song on February 2017, and it quickly went viral, earning him over 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube as at that time.

Early Life

Born on March 22, 1994 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Daniel Nwosu Jr., known as Dax, has a Nigerian heritage. His family relocated to Ottawa, Ontario during his early childhood and later settled in Wichita, Kansas.

Dax's journey to fame began with his remarkable skills in basketball. He made a name for himself at Sunrise Christian Academy during his senior season and continued his basketball career at Casper College. Eventually, he transferred to the University of Montana before finding his place at Newman University, where he emerged as the leading scorer in the Heartland Conference.

While pursuing his education at Newman University, Dax managed to support himself by working as a part-time janitor. Alongside his academic commitments, he also found solace in the art of spoken-word poetry.

In 2018, Dax made the decision to leave his janitorial job and pursue a career as a full-time singer. He revealed that he had taken on employment while in school due to financial constraints faced by his parents. Eventually, his exceptional talent in basketball earned him a full basket scholarship at both the Division 1 and Division 2 levels.

Career 

Dax's career path was far from easy, as he had to work hard to support his education expenses. Without any connections or ties to the entertainment industry, he took it upon himself to build his music platform from the ground up.

His talent for remixing became his signature style, with notable renditions of Tupac's iconic tracks such as 'All Eyez On Me,' 'Changes,' and 'Hit Em Up.' Additionally, he showcased his skills by remixing songs by renowned artists like Machine Gun Kelly's 'Rap God,' Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You,' and the late XXXTentacion's 'Look at Me.'

However, Dax's breakthrough into the spotlight came with the release of the official music video for his song 'Cash Me Outside,' featuring American rapper Danielle Bregoli. Directed by Thad Swift, the video has garnered over 21 million views as of July 2020.

On August 22, 2018, Dax released his first EP titled 'It's Different Now,' which featured collaborations with O.T. Genasis and Futuristic. Under his label, Daniel Dax Entertainment, he also released another EP called 'F*ck Love.' Throughout his journey, Dax has collaborated with fellow YouTube rappers such as Quadeca, CHVSE, Deji, Scru Face Jean, and Crypt.
